This trip touch several US States, so the best months are june, july, september and october. We visited the Parks in august and to be honest the heat was really strong and the crowd impressive. During the winter season most of these Park are covered by snow and the roads and hiking trails could be closed. Remember to check the NPS website to get all the information you need. Visited on August 2018 Tour lenght Almost 6000 km / 3400 miles. Mean of transport Rental car. At L.A. International Airport you’ll find several rental companies. We rented our vehicle with Budget company through the website Rentalcar.com. Accommodations Motel, guest houses and medium level Hotels; the best option to save money is to do a tour in 4 people and share the room. Usually all the accommodation offer good deals if you book a room for 4 people (2 queen size bed). The price varies depending on the season and the town where you sleep. We booked our accommodations using hotels.com and booking.com; Alternatively you can also use Agoda.com or Hostelsworld.com. Food Local restaurants or fast food for dinner and grocery shop at hypermarket for lunch. Average expense for dinner 20$ ( 6$ in the fast food); We often used Tripadvisor to look for a restaurant. Currency exchange The best option to save money is to buy US dollars in advance through your bank.
