Our itinerary in Laos
Laos is a country outside the classic routes of Southeast Asia, not touched by mass tourism yet. It offers incredible breathtaking natural landscapes of thick mist-covered mountain peaks, local ethnic groups still living in small villages respecting the local customs, temples that reflect the past 500 years of Buddhist architecture, jungles rich in wildlife, caves plenty of Buddha images, impressive waterfalls and rivers, including the well known Mekong that hosts the rare Irrawaddy dolphins in the south of the country. Laos is the perfect destination for backpackers and independent travellers who love the wild nature and a peaceful and simple daily life. We combined Laos with Cambodia in a 3 weeks trip. We started from the north of Thailand to reach the north of Laos and ended the itinerary in Muang Khong before entering Cambodia.
