Our itinerary in Jordan
Jordan is a small country but features a wide range of breathtaking attractions. The most known is Petra, the ancient city carved completely into the rock of the mountains and UNESCO Heritage site since 1985. Petra is definitely worth the trip, but the Nabataean city is not the country’s only wonder. Crusaders Castles, ancient Roman Cities, a relaxing break on the Dead Sea or on the beaches in Aqaba and the wonderful landscapes of the Wadi Rum desert will make your trip unforgettable.

Need to Know
When to go: all year round but the best seasons are spring and autumn to avoid the strong heat of the summer. We visited Jordan in December and it was mostly sunny, a bit cold during the early morning and at night (above all at Dana Reserve and Petra). Mean of transport: rental car. At Amman International Airport there are several rental companies; We booked our car with rentalcars.com. Accommodation: medium range. The average expense for a double room 20USD. We booked our accommodation with Booking.com, alternatively, you can also find good deals with Agoda.com or Hotels.com. Food: local restaurant for dinner (half board in Dana and Petra) and grocery shopping at the market for lunch. If you need more info about Jordanian restaurants, check TripAdvisor reviews. Currency exchange: at Alawneh Exchange in Amman (on K. Talal street). It also possible to withdraw from ATM. Travel insurance: we never leave without insurance since it’s the most important thing when travelling. We got our comprehensive protection with WorldNomads.
