Our itinerary in China
Our second trip to China is focused on two of the southern Province: Hunan and Guangxi. Hunan is one of the most known Provinces in China due to its thousands of towering karst pillar peaks in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area listed as a UNESCO World National Heritage site. This marvellous Province is not only known for its natural beauties but also for its ancient towns like Furong and Fenghuang that feature charming old buildings still well preserved and its 33 minority ethnic groups. Last but not least, the famous Chairman Mao Tze Tung was born in a small town – Shaoshan – right in Hunan. Guangxi is a marvellous Province that features breathtaking karst scenery especially in Guilin and Yangshuo, lush valley, picturesque landscapes, rivers, waterfalls and old towns. One of the attractions that we liked most was the stunning Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces, a group of large-scaled rice terraces built into the hillside.
